What do I do?
As a doula, my role is to provide your family with physical, emotional, and informational support on your journey through pregnancy and especially in labor and delivery and to empower YOU to make the decisions YOU think are best for your body and your baby.
-
As a doula, my job is not to perform clinical procedures, make decisions for you, speak on your behalf, or force my own perspectives on you.
-
I offer a variety of packages to suit your budget and needs. Not sure which package is right for you? Reach out!

Doula Packages
Option A:
- A free consultation for us to meet, get to know one another, and make sure we're a good fit for your birth
- Two prenatal visits where we'll review your birth knowledge, birth preferences, familiarity with birth, and practice various comfort measures and techniques that we can use when it's go time!
- Access to research and resources compiled by me about pregnancy, birth, feeding, postpartum, etc.
- Regular support through calls, texts, and emails from the time of hiring through 37 weeks
- 24/7 support through calls, texts, and emails and "on call" status from 38 weeks until you give birth
- A back-up doula who is also "on call" from 38 weeks until you give birth in the event I am not able to be there
- 16 hours* of continual in-person support** from when you decide you need me in labor until an hour or so after the baby is born, everyone is settled, Baby has nursed (if that's your plan), and you feel comfortable with me leaving
- A postpartum visit approximately two weeks after Baby is born to check in on you and debrief the birth
Option B:
- Everything from Option A plus...
- Your own copy of "The Birth Partner" by Penny Simkin (one of my favorite resources!)
- A "labor at home" kit including a birth ball, back massage tool, reusable hot/cold pack, and "project" for distraction
- An additional postpartum visit one to two days after the birth or after arriving home
Option C:
- Everything from Options A and B plus...
- An additional prenatal appointment where we'll review the logistics of your home to help prepare for adding a baby, participating in labor at home, and recovery, focusing on what may make your lives easier (and safer) once you have delivered and returned home
- A postpartum basket with my favorite supplies for recovery
- Homemade meals and snacks included at both postpartum visits
Sibling Doula Package:
- Two prenatal visits to meet with you and your big brother(s)- or big sister(s)-to-be to talk about your birth plan, get to know each other, and review what having a baby and birth will look like through a child-friendly lens
- A "sibling kit" including a book, baby doll, and play essentials so they can practice helping and getting used to a baby
- "On call" status from 38 weeks until you give birth. I will meet you at your birth location and stay with your older children until an hour or so after Baby is born, keeping them appropriately informed, engaged if you (and they) wish, or disengaged and occupied if you (or they) wish
*After 16 hours, I will stay if I feel I am able to still be physically and emotionally present, but will incur a $25/hr charge. If I am not able to provide adequate physical and emotional support, my back-up will step in at $25/hr.
**Due to COVID-19, some birth facilities are limiting the number of people who can be in attendance. In the event that I am not allowed to be with you in person, I will provide continuous virtual support. I am "verified" by the Novant Health system and thereby do NOT count against their visitor restrictions and have access to spaces and supplies usually only frequented by nurses. I am also OR-trained, meaning that in most cases, I can accompany you to the operating room in the event of a Cesarean birth.
